On Saturday, July 18, 2026, there was an impactful meeting held at the Cabarrus County Democratic Party headquarters here in Concord, North Carolina. At this meeting, attendees were able to hear directly from the candidates who are currently running. April Cook, Chris Bishopp, Courtney Steinburg, Dan Redding, Colby Watson, Ingrid Nurse, and Johnnie Jones were present, and attendees were able to understand each candidate’s platform for the upcoming election in November 2026. Mishell Williams, who is also running for office, was not able to attend Saturday’s meeting, but her supporters were present and accounted for. The exchange of information at this meeting was priceless.
